What does Uely use my location for?
Uely asks for location when an answer would be blurry without a place: weather, regional newspaper, distances, nearby jobs or products. Location makes answers more concrete; it is not a public marker.
- Confirm the location dialog when it appears.
- Or use the map in the profile.
- Adjust location or address later in the profile.
What you should know
Section titled “What you should know”Location is context. Uely uses it so regional questions are not treated like generic internet answers.
Limits
Section titled “Limits”Browser locations can be inaccurate. On desktop you often only get a rough area.
If something goes wrong
Section titled “If something goes wrong”If you refuse location, chat and documents still work. Features such as Dorf in the newspaper or distance sorting in jobs and products are then less precise or ask again.
Questions
Section titled “Questions”Is my location published?
Section titled “Is my location published?”No. Publication only happens through surfaces such as listings or public profiles, and only with the data intended for that surface.
Do I have to allow GPS?
Section titled “Do I have to allow GPS?”No. You can work with the map or use location features without an exact position.
